Planting lettuce in tunnel
« on: April 04, 2013, 07:55 »
Is it too early to plant my lettuce, they are growing away lovely on windowsill but need the space. Got a cloche tunnel woul
All the way from my allotment in beautiful Derbyshire. I'm in year 3 of my allotment and wish I'd caught the bug years ago, things growing from strength to strength

lettuce are generally hardy and can survive cold weather but it might be a shock to move them from your warm windowsill to outdoors/tunnel while temperatures outside are so low.  Perhaps wait at least another week as forecasts are for milder conditions.
