They should be OK as long as you harden them off before planting..........but it's early to be planting January King, they don't usually get sown until April/May.
Planted now, I think it'll be ready for eating much before it's name suggests  ;)

I also thought it was a little early for winter cabbages, hubby got them from a garden center along with some cauliflower said he couldn't resist.  ::)
Cabbage and cauliflower seedlings have been in the shed for the past week cabbage looks ok,not sure if I should plant the cauliflower yet ,I'm told they are hard to grow.

Personally I would pot them up and wait a couple of weeks for the weather to get warmer. I think the important thing with cauliflower is not to stall their growth. That's exactly what will happen if you plant out now.

Don't forget to really FIRM THE SOIL after planting.

Cheers,   Tony. ::)

My graffiti caulis have got the second set of proper leaves formed and have been hardened off for the past fortnight in a cold frame to start, then outside all day and cold frame at night. They are getting put out tomorrow.

Probably just the seed leaves, that is quite normal. I usually remove those anyway in order to plant them out deeper.

Thanks for the advice
I'll  pot them up and keep them in the Coldframe At night for a couple of weeks.
