I'm dedicating a bed just for salad crops this year. We're going to be growing salad leaves, lettuce, rocket, mizuna, mitsuna, lambs lettuce, rows of different radishes and baby carrots, etc, in rows so we can just help ourselves. Hoping I'll be able to rotate well enough.

I refuse to pay £1 per bag of salad leaves anymore lol, especially when we would be buying three bags

i put some in pots and give them to family etc they can pick the leaves as they want until the lettuce has gone it is always fresh then.

I sow mine quite closely together in a row, then thin them out a little at a time, using some of the thinned out leaves for leafy salads & some of the better thinnings to pop into any old gap around - these are stunted by the thinning & transplanting process 7 therefore mature a little later than the original row but keeps a continuous crop from one sowing.
