how long for an egg to be created?

Does anyone know how long it takes for a hen to brew an egg?
Azzi (araucana)seems to lay at about midday and then the next day during mid afternoon.
She waited til 4.30ish today when it had gone dark.
We had the first eggs poached. They were small but delicious.

Very roughly about once every 25 hours.

I do a large hens egg for 2 1/2, perfect.

Bantam just under 2.
