Afternoon all, I managed to get my autumn garlic and onion sets in late December, this was late due to my back, however my spring garlic and onion sets have arrived, they are stored in cool dark area, how long can I put off planting my spring stuff? Many thanks

 I tend to put my onion sets out in early March - others may differ. I use heat treated onion sets so they don't arrive until then.I am sure you know all this but be sure you spread your sets out in storage as they can be a bit damp and then start to rot - watch for sprouting.
I would have thought garlic could go in now if soil ready. I did mine today which is a little later than I would have wanted but I am not overly worried.
