Boston Ivy - Parthenocissus Tricuspida
« on: December 05, 2012, 16:22 »
Hello everyone.
Can someone help please.
I am looking for first hand experience from any one who has Boston Ivy (not Virginia creeper) on their house wall. I have searched the web to no avail.

I want to buy some Boston Ivy that will be grown directly on to the gable end of
my house.
I have found a lot of info about the habits and look of the plants above
ground level and I am happy with that.
But, I cannot find any reference to the damage that may be done below ground or to foundations by the plant roots .

Please can any one give me a view as to the ultimate root and trunk size and general invasiveness of the Boston Ivy root system? Does anyone have experience of damage caused by Boston Ivy? Much appreciated.

Thank you
