hi, i could be getting a 10x4 dog kennel with
 a 6x4 run built in.
was hoping to put some bantams in it.
how many would be best?
dont want it over crowded!!!!!!

I have 7 in an area of 6 x 12 (72 sq ft) which is a little bigger than yours which will be 64 sq ft.  They are let out to freerange as well but seem really happy with the room they have.

I have a new 8x12 shed with a 7x8 run how many hens would you think would be suitable as in the new year i will have some orpingtons coming as i intend to start showing them Happy Christmas to you all

the run space is not very big at all - The very minimum of clear run space (so excluding the coop and the area where you have the feeders and drinkers) of 1 square metres per bird and ideally you should allow 3 square metres per bird if they are in it all the time.
