i have had all my hens killed by that dam fox again, it has ripped down al the wire (fox proof) and I dont have any left now

All I have is a few feathers, there was a dozen birds in there, they have all gone, I thought there would have at least a body left, but it would seem they have all gone

So its another search for hens or eggs again

So sorry you have lost your birds. 

Are you sure it was a fox? It sounds too clean to me, could it of been a two legged thief?

Dont think so, there were plenty of feathers and blood around and the wire washole, (where it had been torn down) was too small for a body

We have had a fox knocking about for a while, it killed a neighbours rabbits, tore the wire off the hutch

sorry for your loss, but before re-stocking make sure your run and coop are absolutely fox proof. If necessary make the run out of welded wire mesh sheets - this is thicker than the roles of mesh. Also have it as a cube - so it has a roof and floor to prevent climbing and digging. The fox will be back

So sorry pepsi100.  You did everything right to protect your girls, it must have been a really determined fox.  I think lots have had late litters this year so it could still be feeding cubs.
