solar powered pumps
« on: January 21, 2014, 16:47 »

Does anyone have direct experience of using a solar- powered water pump with a borehole on an allotment site?
I have technical inf but really want to know from people who have/have used one.
Any info gratefully received! Thanks - Anne, N Suffolk

I know of someone who used to have a small lake and some woodland in France, he also had a log cabin and a well for the drinking water.
All the power was from a solar panel that charged a small bank of 12v batteries, a few lights and a pump for the well, there could have been an inverter involved as well but no sure.
Not sure if this is any help but though I would share.
Weeds are just plants growing in the wrong place.
