Remember to give the farmer the third degree questioning about possible aminopyralid contamination, before buying. Did he use the chemical on his own grass, or was it used on any grass or feed that he bought in for his cattle?
At least two allotment associations in Glasgow, were hit this year with aminopyralid contamination in the manure with disastrous results.

cazzy, use yr womanly charm, smiling fluttering of the eyes. you will get that farmer to deliver the manure. my load got delivered to some woman on the other side of the site who hadn't ordered a load. then he pretended that he was looking for me and couldn't find me, I could tell he wanted her number, he didn't get it. I had to wait another hr for my load.

Sorry for the late replies guys.

LMAO @ flutter my eyes, I remember a time when I could get away with that, think if I done it now they'd offer me medical advice.

I've lucked out and a guy on site has a friend who is willing to deliver a trailer full for a fiver so i've opted for that.
What if the Hokey Cokey IS what its all about...

Cazzy - I'm in Dunblane, would be soooo grateful if you could ask your manure guy if he could deliver some my way?

I will ask Kermit, might be a bit of a jaunt for him, he is coming from Airdrie but you never know.

Hows your weather? never thought i'd look forward to some rain.

Ah, ok, worth a shot.  Sick of it here.  Had over a foot of icy snow since Christmas.  Almost got stuck getting home from Edinburgh this evening - 3.5 hours, via M8 and Glasgow!  Dreadful

Just an update - found a couple in central scotland who deliver trailer (around 1 tonne) well rotted manure for £25.  Amnio... free.  Or £3 for a rubble bag's worth (£2 per bag if picking up yourself).

I've just ordered a trailer load - if anyone wants me to pass on the guy's details, let me know.

Hi Kermit,

Do you still have the details for your source in central scotland who can deliver a trailer (around 1 tonne) well rotted Amnio... free manure?

Hi Kermit,

Thanks for your quick reply.  I guess I'll just keep looking... as a last resort there is a place in Cumbernauld but at £2 for a 15kg bag it's v. expensive.  I've emailed them to see if they will consider a discount for bulk buy, which I hope to share with a neighbouring plot holder, but I won't hold my breath
