If I put these in the ground now will I be too late? Some of the instructions I have suggest they must be planted before frost and we've had a couple of sub zero nights recently.

I'm in Essex.

If you've got them already, then you might as well bung them in pronto as they won't keep for planting next year.

Don't plant them if the ground is frozen or waterlogged though.

I've just got some on clearance sales and mine went in despite snow already.

Thanks. Same here, also got them dirt cheap in sales. Now to try and find  space for everything

I've still got some alliums to plant and they are nice and fat

The soil in the pots they are destined for at the plot was too frozen today so I shall wait until it is thawed

I shall worry if they start to wither
