Making sure I am prepared for new arrivals

Hatching should commence tomorrow and hopefully will get photos as it happens. I have ordered feeders, chick and larger for later. Do they only eat the chick feed and of course water. Just checking there is nothing else to get. Are all greens etc held back until they are bigger and outside in their run

They will only need chick feed for the first few weeks :)

I don't give our chicks greenery until they are off heat at 5 weeks old.  Then I start them on chickweed, it being softer than a lot of the greenery around.

Like Casey said, chick crumb is only needed for the first 5-6 weeks, then grower until they get to point of lay then on to Layers.  We prefer to gfive our girls pellets as its less messy than meal.
