hi guys new here and would like to say its great to be here
bloomin pheasants keep pulling and pecking at my tates anyone else suffer this

Try hanging some cd's around or some carrier bags on canes stuck in the ground. They are very skittish birds and this should ward them off. Munty says if they are still there in the winter.....then SHOOT 'EM!!!! ....(not my idea!!!) ;)

Yes, along with the blackbirds, squirrels, pigeons, doves, fox or badger, and last but definitely not least, my own Houdini variety chickens! I will not be using the no-dig method of growing potatoes again. ;)
I demand the right to buy seed of varieties that are not "distinct, uniform and stable".

thaqnks guys but one of the blighters comes behind you flaps his wing and calls right next to you frightenes you to death , well nearly
dont think it would be scared of cd s hung up as they go straight to the middle of my tates, still the second option sounds good now wheres my blunderbus.

you can't shoot everything and for everything you shoot there'd be a dozen more hiding behind the hedge  :lol:   It's a jungle out there  :wink:
We have a mummy partridge and all her babies in procession on our site but we think the sparrowhawk has killed one
