Firstly, hello folks! I'm new on here - although I have posted a couple of times on the poultry pages.

I'm no gardener, at all! But this year my girlfriend has got me involved in growing my first tomatoes, which with the exception of the Greenfly - and subsequent purchase of ladybird larvae    has gone OK , for a first timer. I've also started a few chilli plants and am totally loving the fact there are chillies and toms growing in the house!

So...after an impulse purchase, I now have 11 UK specific Soya bean plants!! but....I know NOTHING about growing them!  :oops:

Has anyone had any experience with these plants? Do they need any support (like runner beans) are they creepers? I have absolutely no idea how they grow or anything so ANY hints and tips would be VERY welcome!!

No they don't need supports.  They're more like dwarf french beans than runner beans.  Just plant them a foot or so apart.  The bad news is that soya beans don't usually do well in the UK - even UK specific ones.  Good luck though.

Hint: they don't do too well, once it gets above 35C, so keep an eye on the gh heating.
