I have some onion seedlings coming along nicely in a cold frame.

How will they be affected by the frosts forecast in the next day or two. Will they bolt?

Last year, my onion seedling were in the ground and had a few frosts. Didn't seem to bother them and non went to seed.

I think (and I wait to stand corrected on this) that light and day length have more of  an effect onions bolting.

Not sure but I think a dry spell will also stress them enough to cause bolting.

Thet are as tough as old boot's so frost will not harm them. As to watering , i never water water my onion's or garlic unless we get a severe hot prolonged period. Ha Ha.
