Re our 'ladder' the gradient is not very steep, to make it easier, something you might want to think about if you are creating one of these high rise hen houses. 

Fancy the idea of a stair lift, not for them but for me after I fall asleep on the sofa and can't be bothered to go up to bed when I wake up!

Think im gonna try one of these highrise chicken coups! Fox problem solved! They might need some training! Im not sure if every chook is suitable but your soon find out! Might just get them a lift! Im sure they can work out how to press the button between them!

JD    You're right, it'srather precarious isn't it. But love the idea of the trampoline to close the pophole ... imagine the chickkers getting wind of it .. and boinging themselves up to bed
