Beer is best for killing slugs.
Yay or nay?
-
It does work in traps but they are susceptible to the watering down effect of dampness from rain or even dew..
-
no sure my self, but i just got 4 traps from ebay,so gona try them out today, ill let you know if it works
-
Never worked for me.
Mainly coz the beer never gets to traps 8)
WHY WASTE BEER????
-
I find it very difficult buying even the cheapest lager from the supermarket FOR THE SLUGS!
And don't say use the dregs from the bottle - I never have any!
Wonder if I could persuade local pub to let me have some?
DO love seeing all those pickled bodies flaoting in the beer though
-
it will be the first beer ive bought in 50 years lol,so i dont mind
-
I just use plastic cups sunk into the ground with a plate propped on top to keep out the rain. works great.
-
I make a drink with half teaspoon of marmite in a mug and use that instead of beer. Has worked well for me. Some might think that is a good use for marmite.
-
I just use the back of the hoe.
