I need a recipe for pickled cucumber, but for some reason it's called bread and butter pickle. Can anyone recommend a recipe please? John's book - sorry, Val's book has a pickled cucumber recipe but I think this is different from what I have in mind.

Great book by the way Val. I've got courgettes/marrows coming out of my ears, so the courgette and ginger thingy looks good.

Hi Scribbler, I posted the recipe I use up on my food blog if you are interested. It is in American measurements though. It was a recipe handed down to me from my Ex mother inlaw. And makes really nice Bread and butter pickles. I already made a batch this year. I like to add more peppers and onions to mine.
