22 Aug 2005 Mandala's HTML

My mandala's to date. Most of the mandalas were made from flowers grown in my yard.. If one know flowers to some degree the original subject can usually be determined from the mandala, somewhat dependent upon how the mandala was constructed.
Enjoy

Strictly speaking, a mandala is a density of particles, or points, around a central point, which serves as a focus for all the rest. The patterns into which these points can be arranged is infinite, and as such each and every potential arrangement of points in a mandala has a real universal complement. Yet it is not the specific arrangement of points in any individual mandala that is important, but rather its inherent pattern. It need not be perfectly round or symmetric or even pleasing to fulfill its purpose, it must only be. Its very existence serves to represent the Universe as Microcosm, in all its wondrous splendor, to translate the infinite majesty of the Cosmos for communion with the human mind. (This explanation was taken off the internet from some randon site.)

Reduced to its essence this babble means; A image about a central point, depicting beauty and symmetry, which is pleasing to the eye.

they are beautiful, Durgan!

May I know what the purple and white ones that look like jewels, crystals, snowflakes are made out of?

To assist in location, direct me to the pictures by counting from top then left to right to arrive at a number,  or if desired use column and row.

Hello gobs - Durgans posts were copies of other posts he had made elsewhere and appeared to be purely designed for promotion of his web site. He was contacted about this but failed to give a satisfactory response and has been removed from the forums and the self promoting links have been removed.
