check out these bad boys that my dad made, hes so great all i have to do is hint that im about to start hammering and drilling and hes straight there to "show me how it should be done" now hes talking about making a shed from his old fence panels. mum dug a whole bed on her own, i think they got the allotment bug, hope the weather holds up another day up there tommorow

Oh! well spotted, I'd not thought of that! It's not obvious from the photo how tall those "covers" are. Maybe netting on bamboo poles is the best for me, I wonder. How tall do purple sprouting broccoli go?

hey could hire him out good idea! he measured it in new money but i think it was 45" from top to bottom then shoved in the ground. its only to cover any seeds i grow cos birds are a huge problem on our allotment,and dads a draughtsman so everything is a construction project!!!
