for the Yorkshire relish mentioned before I found a realy interesting food history site called foods of England
its got recipes and history about recipes , apparently the first haggis came from Lancashire 50 years before it was mentioned in Scotland .

(I can say that because OH has plenty of Scot relatives)

I love social history and enjoy watching tv where old recipes are prepared.

I was told haggis was brought to these isles by the Romans :)

The Tudor manor farm has been interesting too
