Can anyone suggest good beekeeping books...
« on: July 06, 2009, 13:35 »
please?  I have one bee book and loads of general books with beekeeping information in but I would like something a bit more in-depth.  My apiculturist mentor is good but she tends to have books in French and although I can translate I would rather like a book I can just pick up and check stuff in quickly.

Any suggestions are gratefully received. :)

I have "Bees at the Bottom of the Garden" by Alan Campion and the classic "Guide to Bees and Honey" by Ted Hooper.  I lost the Bees at the Bottom of the Garden book soon after it arrived (the wife tidied it away) but I have "used" the "Guide to Bees and Honey" by Ted Hooper.  My teacher told me not to read it as a book but use it as a guide to see what I should be doing next month and prepare. Use it as a reference not as novel.

Hope this helps  :D

So how are you Scaramanga?

Feeling a little 'deflated' tbh but there you go     Had to get some super-douper cream on prescription and bathe the site with hot    water 3/4 times a day but not doing at all badly.  Just rewards for my behaviour with the ladies methinks.  Thanks for the book recommendations though.
