PH for Brassica bed

Having built some raised beds back in october and filled them with Westland compost,Top soil and manure.I tested the PH with one of those Draper Light/Moisture/PH Probes.After following the instructions and took several readings I was suprised to find the PH level was 6.8 to 7.0.....I was expecting to add lime.......do you think it is not needed?

Take a look at this, all is explained! Take another reading and, if it's under 7.0, take it up with lime. Growing Brassicas

Your soil is perfect. I would leave well alone. Overlime it and you could induce defficiencies such as manganese and iron in the following crops and scab in potatoes.

Thanks salmo I will leave alone for the time being......test it again in about a month
