Title: sunflowers in pots

Can I grow sunflowers in 12" florist pots? The variety is sunburst and can grow to 6ft

I don't see why not, I always grow some of mine in containers or planters. If you are going to grow in pots, you might be advised to make sure they won't topple in the wind over either by siting them somewhere sheltered or even tying them onto fencing, trellis etc... Pot growth might restrict the growth a little but if you aren't going for a giant that shouldn't really matter..
