Any tips for growing really big ones?

An enormous pile of poo !!        ... and water ...

Create a metre wide depression about 8-10" fill it with poo ... flood it ... then when it's all soaked in pile more poo around the edges building up a small dam.  Plant into the centre of depression ... mark stem of plant with stick so you know where to water after the foliage takes over ... and there you have it!

Variety makes a lot of difference though.

And you need to water every day (unless it's pouring already) and add extra lquid feed such as comfrey, seaweed, etc. Monsters are surprisngly thirsty.
