Pumpkins all growing well been feeding 1 weekly with tomato feed.  Due to go on holiday I wondered would they benefit from extra feed in the soil.  I have chicken pellets grow more.  I would do the same with squash.

I would use the manure pellets, scattered around the growing point (which hopefully you marked with a stick when you planted them  )  You don't need many as they're very concentrated.  The rain will wash them in gradually and keep them well fed while you're away 

I grow my squashes etc in lots of manure at planting time

If you look along the runners, where the leaf stalk leaves the runner there will be a slight enlarging of the stem.  Bury this as this is an auxiliary rootlet, feed here also.

I have a bottle with a point shoved into the ground below the squash roots and I feed mine on guinness occasionaly.

They do really well.

1 bottle of guinness between 3 spaghetti squash and 1 between 4 'Honey bear' - washed down with water.
