Title: GG's new garden.
Post by: Goosegirl on July 17, 2020, 17:31
Here are some pics of my new garden. There's quite a lot of lawn at the front, right-hand side and back so there's not a lot of borders to maintain. Just one drawback - there's mare's-tail in many places - GGGGRRRRGH! There's also a shed that needs some wood replacing, and a small aluminium greenhouse that's seen better days, but it'll all get sorted out in the fulness of time.

It’s a blank canvas, GG.  You can do a little or a lot.  :D

Looks lovely.  You need to make a cup of tea, put your feet up and drool over some catalogues

A cure for mare's tail - when something or someone upsets you boil a kettle of water and go trickle the boiling water down the stems to the roots. You can do a lot with a reasonable sized kettle and I'm told it's quite stress reducing. Takes time to cure the mare's tail mind but has been known to work.  ;)

A lovely space there GG. I’m sure you’ll be able to get it just how you want it in the next couple of years. And of course just as we all know, gardening is good therapy, so just what the Dr ordered for you I’m sure. Make a wish list & see what you can fulfill to keep you occupied  :)

That looks lovely GG, lots of sun to sit in!  :D

Is that a bird bath or a sundial in the middle of the lawn?

If it's a sundial, make sure you know how to change it for British Summer Time

(joke  :tongue2:  )

Marvellous!

Blank canvas - as said above!

Congrats on getting all this sorted, that was pretty quick compared with some of the property stuff these days! You've just got time to pop in a few rods of winter veg too...;0)

Can't wait to get my pressure washer out to clean the paths and patio. Yes, it is a bird bath but the top is pretty scruffy so, guess what, we've decided to level the top and turn it into a sundial. Great minds think alike!  ;)
