We don't ask existing multi-plot holders to give up any plots. Almost invariably, they are the long-term gardeners (many decades) whose willingness to take on plots when the site was half-abandoned, has meant that the site survived.

Over time, these gardeners will downsize as described in other posts, and we can then start dividing plots up in the usual way to increase takeup.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...
