My chickens love cracked corn.  Are you giving them corn ground fine enough for them to eat?  I give our hens corn as a special treat every day.  My husband and I make a big fuss over the fact that there's something yummy in the cup and then present it to them.  This technique even works with layer pellets (that they have everyday, all day long in their feeder).  If it comes out of that magic cup, then it must be yummy!  We gave them wheat for the first time yesterday, and although they were a bit surprised, tucked right in.
When I die I will slide in sideways, a glass of wine in one hand and chocolate in the other, screaming, "Whooo hooo!  What a ride!" as life is to be enjoyed to the fullest!

My two love mixed corn scattered on the ground, but strangely won't eat greens or bread.

It takes time with your hens taste buds, especially if they are young! Dont worry eventually they will love it. I would advise only to give it as a treat as it is fattening, and also its a good method of a shaking corn jar to get them to do what you want. (in a fashion). :)

Hi Cudders, great to see you around again :D  How are your girls doing ?

Give then a bit of corn last thing in the afternoon for them to scratch for rather than mixing it with the pellets.
