A novice question here.

It's been raining hard since Sunday, off and on.

I planted out my hardened off runners on Saturday + sowed seeds straight in. Is this rain likely to kill them off? Back to the drawing board?

                                                                                                                 im not 100% sure about this but isnt it to early to put your runner beans in, still frost about surely

The hardened off ones should be fine. The seeds will have a possibility of rotting - depends on how free draining your soil is really.
