I am about to make a new Strawberry bed, is it safe to dig in spent mushroom compost before I start planting.  Have heard the lime in the compost may be a problem.  Comments please.

I hope not! I had two ton of top soil mixed with mushroom compost and put some on my strawberry bed only last week!
