Title: The fruits of my labours !
Post by: Bodger on September 04, 2007, 16:01
Heres some of the cider from last season. I've got some cider drinking mates coming to visit us the weekend after next and I'm a little worried as to what they'll make of it, or more specifically what it will make of them
I've sampled all three bottles and shall we say , that they are all a tad sharp ?

I hope that they haven't been contaminated by the swallow chit ! "Swallow chit ?" I can here you say, here's a piccie of the swallows nest that's directly above the bottles. :D

They'll never know  !

I hope your "sharp" flavour is not an off-tastes caused by leaving it on the sediment since last year.

Tapping the sides of ribbed plastic containers prior to racking helps get all the sediment to the bottom.

Are those the refill bottles from cool drinking water machines?

Yes they are from water machines.
They come with air tight lids.
We drill them out and put an air lock in them and then use sealant to keep them air tight.

I'm currently looking for a new supply because as Autumn is all but on us, we are ready to go through the process again :D
