Summer still rolls on and we have been officialy declared a drought zone.
    I have give up on the runner beans as we are not eating them any way. Too tough and too hot for hot meals. The second crop of spuds (red rascal) are beautiful and brilliant with salads. The un-known plum tomatoes are on stream and  as good as ever. The salad greens are getting watered and we are living on salads and bbq's.
    Built a lean-to green house on the side of my workshop as the plastic
"cheapy" fell to bits. It will not be wasted as the frame will be used to grow plants up. It seems a bit strange to be building things for winter in the middle of a drought but we must have forward planning.
       Looking at the weather map we still can't see any relief in site, we are not on a water restriction yet as 90% of our supply is to cows so a hose ban would be ignored any way.

ps; The beer is still very, very cold. The scollops are succulent. But it is Bl**dy hot.

Thanks for the update, we had a hint of Spring this weekend, nearly has to take the thermals off.

Don't envy you all that heat and drought but you sound like you're getting through it all

Sounds like you are doing well considering. I am envious of your plum tomatoes - i have realised I have bought 3 varieties of small / cherry toomatoes - I really want to get a culinary plum variety for making sauces and bottling for winter.
