Hello! Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm new to vegetable gardening and grew my own tomatoes this year which I'm so thrilled with.

I am very interested in heritage/heirloom tomatoes and organic gardening. I look forward to read about others' experiences here and occasionally posting on my new passion for food-growing. I've been hanging around the US websites which has been very enlightening and am glad to have found something closer to home.

Thanks grannieannie.

Jake, I'm in London. I am saving seed, but they weren't isolated nor bagged as you're supposed to in order to ensure pure seed. I'm new to this and read about the intricacies of pollination and seed-saving way into my tomato growing.

I grew only three varieties - Harbinger, Beefsteak and Gardener's Delight - the commonly available ones in the UK. But I have big plans on growing the ones raved about on the Gardenweb Tomato forum next year....the black, yellow, green, pink ones with taste and history and of course doing my own little bit for bio-diversity...Bring them on baby!

Do you want any green grape seeds greenie?  They are the sweetest ones I've grown so far.

I just did a search and that green grape tomato sounds very interesting, so a few seeds won't go amiss here. Thank you grannieannie.

My neighbours already must think I am mad with me always staring at my tomato patch and taking pictures. But hey, who has the last laugh now with fresh organic toms picked anytime I want. Soldier on next year when they will be all over the lawn! I could kick myself that I passed on an allotment earlier this year because it was too far away, and now I find out there is a 5 year waiting list!

Green grape seeds are drying now, so I'll pop some of them in as well.  Must sort out a few more little bags.  Luckily, I've still got some from when I used to make jewellery!!
