Rake attachment in spring; scarifier attachment in autumn.

I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

Scarifying can make a right mess of the lawn which will need time to recover, although it's very satisfying to see the amount of rubbish you can remove from it (trying to get rid of it is a bit less satisfying though!  :nowink:)

A hopefully useful link HERE.
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

if you google the make and model you can often find manuals for equipment. I agree with others -- rake in spring and can do so several times incl focusing on any particularly mossy areas as a localised treatment. Scarify in autumn or even spike in deeper with fork and then top dress.
