My Greek friend Anna made beautiful parsley & onion scones and after searching through a pile of my old recipe scrapbooks I've found them
2 cups self-raising flour 200C oven
2 tablespoons finely chopped parsley
1/2 an onion finely chopped
3 shallots finely chopped
1oz butter or hard margarine
1/4 pint milk appx
(optional - egg to glaze)
Rub butter into flour until the mix is like breadcrumbs.
Add all the other ingredients and enough of the milk to make a soft dough.
Knead gently and roll about an inch thick.
Cut into rounds and place on a greased baking tray.
Glaze with milk or egg and bake for 12 -15 mins.
