I found a great source of free 5lt plastic buckets at our local sandwich shop they used to hold mayo or boiled eggs and the shop just gives them away!

Great as planters or if your changing the oil on your car!

I forgot to add they're washed out too! lol

Ice cream shops for empty 5 litre tubs.  I'd be lost without them.

And we get black 10l buckets with the florist's delivery every Friday - so check at your local convenience store or petrol garage what they do with them and if they have any to spare  :)

Morrisons sell their ex-flower buckets @ 99p for 8 buckets, and knowing how mean morrisons are, others might be giving them away (still cheaper than flower pots).

I asked a local florist and got 72, I've now got 52 tomatos, 12 sweet peppers and 5 chillies all in lovely big pots.

If you don't ask you don't get

During the winter try your local train station-i work for the tube- we use loads of `thaw crystals` and the buckets are good quality, you can make up some morter etc and leave it over night(the excess of course) and bash them without breaking them.

Asda, Tesco, Nettos and Lidl are all really kind and they clean them out for you.  Morrisons are just plain greedy!
I bought some from morrisns thinking I was getting a bargain, used them for my toms and thern found out I could get them for free from Nettos and on and on from there.
I know less today than I did yesterday, and I knew nothing then!
