Title: Gracie. What to do now????
Post by: jinty1911 on March 08, 2011, 20:47
She had improved so much since the feather cyst burst and certainly seems like her old self again, but just brought her in for A/Bs and to treat the burst and there is another one right next to it.  Have sprayed them both but don't know what else to do.  She doesn't seem to be in pain at the moment and isn't doing the heavy breathing anymore.  Can anyone suggest anything please????   >:(  :(

Sorry to hear about that Jinty. If she's not in pain, breathing fine and is otherwise healthy, I'd be tempted to leave her to it. If it gets any worse then that's when the best time to act will be. I don't really know what else you can do to be honest other than ,as I say, leave her alone. Goodluck.

I would agree with D here, Jinty.  Gracie is already on A/Bs and you have sprayed the area.  Just keep an eye on it and let her natural healing processes kick in.  It is very hard to see one of your hens suffering; however I'm sure you are doing all you can.  Good Luck!
