Can I make waxed paper for wax discs for jam making?

I don't know the answer to that one Kevin, but I saw on another forum, or on this one, can't remember now! That one person cuts up the bags that hold breakfast cereals into discs and uses them! I've started saving mine now too!

What do you eat for brakfast then?

When I haven't got any waxed discs or anything for my jam jars, I use greasproof paper, not as good because it does go a bit soggy.......

Porridge in the week and eggs on weekend1 I was wondering whether I could wax some paper with bees wax? Or would this bee(!) bad for the jam - I guess it would be ok for consumption seeing as it is in close proximity to honey and that is edible....

not being able to find such things here i cut a circle of the baking paper and place over the jar then put the lid on and trim to make a frill also do it with pickles to protect the lids from the vinegar
