Title: Apple tree pests

My poor apple tree tends to suffer with lots of pests farming ants (green fly) green catapillers which i try to get of byhand when i can and a bit of mildew on new leaves i just pick them off but this year my green catapillers are black havent seen these ones  before any ideas please.

Coud you post a photo of one please? Small, black and hairy could be Gypsy moth
