potatoes not chitting

i have been chitting my potatoes for about 2-3 weeks now and still they only have tiny little growths. they are in a lit room but not in direct sunlight and its not to hot either.
do i just go for it and plant them in the ground. i am doing second earlies and main crop;

Put them somewhere warmer if you want them to chit quickly, but it's ok to plant them as they are if your soil and weather are ready  ;)

well it is warm but not hot. oh i dunno we'll see what the weather does this weekend.

Not all varieties chit as obviously as others.  Mine have been on a north facing window sill for about 3 weeks and have chits less than 1/2 cm long.

They'll be fine.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

Just a silly thought. Have you got them the right way up?
Have a look underneath them to see if there are any chits down below..............!

yeh they are the right way, turned them all as the growth came through. i will just plant them and see what happens.

Some growers plant maincrops without chitting, so I wouldn't worry.

If the soil is warm enough, plant them and they will come up  :D
