BROCCOLI ROMANESCO

Jut potted some seeds, anyone know what the taste is like? meant to be better than broccoli, it grows the same as cabbage and cauliflower? I think!!

I don't know about better  ::) it's just a milder taste IMO.

My OH wasn't very keen on cauliflower, but when we first moved to Lincolnshire, a local chap gave me a Romanescu.  It is more like cauli than broccoli I think, but yes it is milder.

The chap who gave it to me said it is ideal for introducing children to veg, as the florets look like little Christmas trees!!!!

OH likes it, and now he loves cauliflower too!!!

I never have much luck with them, but I do have 6 doing well at the moment, fingers crossed!   ;)

their beautiful heads taste more like cauliflower,
very nice plants, their heads are remarkable as they have a fractal shape

I have 150 of them going in the garden right now.  I have never tried them and can't wait to see what they taste like.
