I planted some lettuces today that I'd raised from seed a few weeks ago

There are loads of things to sow or plant. It's only July. Get swotting up so you can make lists so you don't forget to sow things to ensure successional crops.  It's all about the veg 

I've got more beans, spinach, beetroot, fennel etc to sow but I was holding off while it's so very hot and dry.  Hopefully we shall get a shower soon
