Have tried to find out what Devil I am dealing with but no luck. Anyone tell me the name of this weed. long root where off shoots grow to the surface. Had a bucket full out of 2m aquare area dug to 15", must of got 90% of it so when it comes back (as it will) will spot weed killer it. Many thanks.

Definitely not a Wallflower,wished it was. Has a long cream/brown horizontal root where the runners grow to the surface (see bucket).

Too young to make any definite identification, but I cannot dismiss young leaves' likeness to a dandelion (and/or related family).  Am rather perplexed by reference to horizontal roots though !?

I have another idea (embarrassed to say I cannot remember plant name right this minute), but a bit more growth required actually.

Could it be a type of rudbeckia, I have something similar that spreads all over in my garden, has a lovely yellow flower, grows about 6ft tall

Yes it has a Cream/Brown horizontal root deep down and these white shoots come off it to the surface. You got to get all the root or it comes back from the smallest bit.
