Our long-range forecast (which I tend not to believe more than a week out) forecasts significantly warmer than normal weather through the first week of March, with only a rare flirtation with 0^oC overnight. In late February, if the forecast for a warm March seems to be holding, I will be starting courgettes and cucumbers (indoors) much earlier than usual.  I may sow peas and broad beans in a week or two.  So... unofficially, spring sprung      ?

We're back to it being grey and dark, the temperature has dropped a bit too 3c generally meh. I did notice a patch of snowdrops open in the park this morning so things are stirring.

Cold and frosty here.  I can see silvery frost on the roofs of the houses in the street.  The sky is quite hazy, but the sun is doing its best to get through it.

Hopefully the haze will burn off and we have a semi-decent day.

It was cold first thing, but it has warmed and brightened up enough for the washing to be drying.
The first shoots of spring bulbs are beginning to poke through the soil

Thick sea mist (fog) this morning. I've stayed at home but Paul was telling me about the number of people who were driving around with no lights on at all!  Mild otherwise and a lot brighter this afternoon.
