Title: Recycle a pallet

There was a pallet just lying there no one wanted just by a skip so I thought "I know exactly what I could do with that. Make something to hide the 'Dalek' compost bin" Oh is happy so I'm allowed a can or two!

Good idea but IMHO it would do better with no pallet underneath, composts generally do better sitting on the ground as the micro-organisms, worms etc get to the compost.

Endorsed. Made the same comment on other threads with compost bins sitting on concrete!

No worries it's not a fixture (like concrete)! I'll move the base out the way b4 putting the bin back to let the worms and wrigglies do thier stuff.

Was just thinking that myself  :lol:  Once it reappears  :wink:  you could always plant some shrubs around it to hide it even more. My bins hide behind an attractive 'wall' of white japanese hydrangeas, coneflowers and pink bee balm. And no, it's not a duel with the bees to get at the bins.  8)

There is a plan to trail plants over it once the old engine oil is applied, got an oil change coming up on the car this week so once that's done in go the "Triffids"  :lol:  :lol:

Rats can also get to it, so I find a 'doughnut' shaped concrete base best.
