Can hydrangas be grown in pots (albeit large ones)?

yes, they do well in pots as long as they are kept well watered during the growing
season 

If you plant them in ericaceous compost you can even keep the blue ones blue

Hi,

Ive had a lot of sucess with one in a pot for years on my patio, its a large white lacey one the kids bought me one year for my birthday.  I just water it and feed it occasionally.

Many thanks guys.  I've got an allotment plot, which I absolutely adore.  But I want to create a Mediterraean patio garden for my back garden, which isn't very big - basically completely flagged, but with terracota pots and other ceramic pots about the place, so I want lots of colour
