Hiya guys, Well i grow everything from seed if i can! Im trying out growing perennial fuchsia from seed this yr, but probs b easier just taking softwood cuttings...
Best thing i grew last yr was nigella love in a mist, i had masses of flowers from late may till the first frosts (december for us i think last yr)

Ill write a list out after the weekend of wot i have sown so far this yr, im quite late starting with the flowers as i have concentrated on the veg so far... Ive got 50 10" pots in my greenhouse with all different variety's of flowers (im hopeing they will germinate at differernt times as its gonna take yrs to prick them out) My african & french marigolds and cornflowers have already germinated so will be doing them 2moz :)

Thank goodness, I thought I was the only one that sad :)
I did consider a relational database but that was just being flash.

I gave up trying to do a data base on my seeds as im a seedaholic  rough guess is around 2,000 packets of seeds but i do love to share them out with friends it makes me happy :)

Well if I don't do it, I forget what I have to plant. I can just about remember what I have planted (although the other part of the organizer can reminded me what and when I planted anyway) but sometimes I forget I have other stuff that can go out at a certain time. I try to note down that information along with the name too. This is the first year I'm trying it out.

I've got my seeds on database too, and also I have a plan of my veg patch with what goes where, then I work out where next years rotation is going. I've got a colander for a brain lately, and would forget what went where!!!!
In my 10 x 8 greenhouse, I've got over 200 tomato seedlings through now (8 different varieties)
4 12" pots with early potatoes
1 12" pot with celery
1 12" pot with carrots
1 12" pot with leeks
1 12" pot with spring onion
in seeds trays -
beetroot
chillis x 2 varieties
peppers
cauliflowers
purple and ordinary brussels
cabbages
courgettes
aubergines
cucumbers
melons
in flowers which I have bought as seeds I've got
brachycome
verbena
busy lizzie
aubretia
pansies
petunias
lobelia
anagalis
and what I've taken from friends and families plants and my own garden which doesn't have much in the way of flowers in it
love-in-a-mist
marigolds
nasturtiums
Some lovely purple things that I don't know the name of
nd some pretty pink things that I don't know the name of that I collected from my step daughter-in-laws garden
I've planted some seeds from my sempervivums, but they are not doing anything yet and I don't know if you can grow them from seed, never tried before.
We are decorating at the moment, but I must get out soon and start to plant some things outside. Want to get the ppolytunnel comented in adn covered with its poly soon. Being 2nd hand, I'm just hoping that it iwll be okay, as I can't aford to buy more poly yet.

Well I grew some globe artichoke from seed and I'm thinking of letting them flower. I could eat them tomorrow.
Oh what to do.
-
what colour are the flowers?
-
I've never seen the flowers before, this is the first flowering year (out of 2). I believe they are vivid purple but they haven't opened yet.
-
We ate the artichokes last night, just couldn't let them flower. I had the bigger one which was just beginning to turn purple inside.
They were delicious.
