450E primer

I have been gifted a non running qualcast mower with a 450E Briggs bolted to it Plastic carb.
I know it is a fuel problem and a new carb is on its way.
The primer system however is strange to me. No fuel pipe to it although it has a connector that looks as if it should have.
Is this normal.

Hello try Briggs bits the man there can advise if it should have a pipe which I think it would have is the 450E the engine or carb as most Briggs and Stratton engines have changed e.g. an 825 doesn't refer to the horse power it's to do with the torque jezza
