I was beginning to look at the grass seed on the shelf and have thoughts of turning the veg garden back into lawn !

But its been granted a stay of execution this morning. Way back in Feb I put a couple of rows of early carrots (furbound) in the greenhouse - just to see. Its time to put the toms out so I pulled a bunch to give me room to plant.

I've got proper carrots !    Not huge or anything, about 4 inches long and as thick as my thumb,  but in all other aspects perfect. Straight, no fly holes, clean and no other damage. Those are the first carrots I've ever managed to grow, I gave them a rinse under the tap and made like bugs bunny 

Definitely recommended, I'll be doing the same next year on a larger scale - Wish I'd put more in now.
